Author Topic: How can I get my Canadian 280 SL licensed in Florida?  (Read 2426 times)

It is  a 1970 280 SL WDB 11304412012778 and US customs requires a certificate from MB of North America, that this car was build for the North American market.MB USA says it cant find my VIN number and a Canadian Certificate from MB Canada does Not help me.Any Advise?

Do you have the data card?  If not you can get a copy from the Classic Center.  The data card will show the country code.

Do you have number 491 stamped into the data plate located at the hood saftey latch plate .  491 means you car was equipped and sold for the North American Market.  You will then need to get a copy of the Data Card rom the Classic Center.
