280SL driven by Bruno Senna
« on: March 20, 2015, 14:09:25 »
This week a UK TV program called The Classis Car Show featured a very nice white 280SL (auto) being put through its paces on the track by Bruno Senna.

Here is the link to the show's website.. scroll down the webpage for the 280SL video clip.. worth a viewing  ;)

Note, the video clip only shows footage taken from a fixed camera in the cockpit.. the show had more exiting coverage taken from next to the track.

He took a 190E Cosworth around it too (remember Ayrton made his name in one)
Struggled with slidey leather seats and the auto being in the wrong gear...
I have a few episodes of this recorded/to watch - one of the chaps over on DDK had his 911 featured this week - no, not Magnus)

I agree with your comment! He also states that in the web film which shows the entire show episode:

Start looking after 24 minutes when Senna goes behind the Pagoda steering Wheel!

Why the heck would they do this in a car with an automatic? That was the model for dentist's wives in the US and ladies of the evening in Europe!
