280 camshaft sprocket - which way round
« on: May 18, 2015, 11:10:44 »
Didn't make a note of which way round the camshaft sprocket came off......   :(

The centre boss, with the key-way, is thicker to one side. Which side goes to the outside, against the heavy/thick washer of the
retaining bolt ?

I want to make sure the run of the chain is exactly in line going down into the crankcase. It's difficult to be sure by visual (with my old eyes...) check.

The deep dished side of the sprocket faces the back of the car.
