Historic Festival 33 Lime Rock 9/3-9/7

I wanted to reach out to the forum members and remind regarding Lime Rock's absolutely wonderful Historic Festival Celebration coming up on Labor Day weekend. I have gone to this event since nearly its inception 33 years ago.
Of any northeast event with my driving radius of Albany NY this is without question "THE EVENT"!
Fellow forum member Kevin Caputo has in years past has posted out this event.
It's action packed with vintage racing along with world class automobile car show located in beautiful northwestern CT.
It would be great to see other fellow Pagoda enthusiasts base a get together here.
Let's through it out here and see what kind of interest we might be able to create within the forum.

I agree with you Peter, certainly the best event in NE in my opinion.
Last year Kevin Caputo organized a convoy of all Pagoda friends and we all parked in a row right on the track.
Besides a couple of 300 SLs also lots of other vintage sport cars like Porsche, Ferrari etc. show up yearly.
Too bad I moved to MN

I will be there Friday Sunday and Monday. 
Friday I will have my Light Ivory 1965 230SL  
Sunday I will have my Silver 1970 280SE Coupe (living donor car)  
I haven't decided what to bring on Monday. Maybe the Albert Blue 1972 911T Coupe

Your show will also be graced by the presence of Sir Sterling Moss and the #722 300SL in which he won the Mille Miglia setting a record that was never broken.  This is a great chance for you to see two iconic legends of motorsport at a legendary track.   Keep an eye out for the #44 Triumph TR6.  This is Bob Tulius' old racer being piloted by Bill Warner, Founder and CEO of the Amelia.  I'm sorry to miss it.

Hi All ; This is my first post! I want to let all know of this event on SUNDAY SEPT 6 th at Lime rock race track in Lakeville, CT. USA it is the gathering of the marques.. This year's event will feather Sir Sterling Moss & Lady Susie.. The Mercedes nt #722 which he won the Mile Miglia will be there on display..I attended the Event last year with Kevin C. It starts at 10 am. But don't dilly dally as the traffic is tariffic..as we sat in a approx. two mile bumper/bumper..I will be passing the Stop & Shop in Cannan at or about 900 am. as we did last year. If anyone would like to meet. I believe the Fee is $30. per person?? See Kevin C. Pictures from last years post..

I just read in Sports Car Market that there is a 1959 Lister Chevrolet buried at lime rock.  I wonder if they have a marked grave yard for dead race cars there?
