Is it possible that you have the left & right rear part numbers reversed? Under my car, the left side hose threads directly into the proportional valve and for that reason must be female on both ends. Not that it would matter. You couldn't install them incorrectly.
Ray, I got the parts from our friend Dave Gallon. I've never known him to make a mistake.
AFTER I received the parts from him, the packages said "ATE Classic" on them, and I decided to research what this was about--and I found the link below, which is the ATE Classic Catalog. The MB parts are on page 136 or 137 as I recall. I then matched up the part numbers on the bag, to those in the catalog to determine L + R, and F + B. That being said
I have NOT been under the car yet with these parts...Dave went with his part numbers and cross references, which also involved AutoHauzAZ and his other suppliers. The part numbers on the bags match exactly the catalog numbers.
There's no telling exactly what I'll find when I get underneath the car.
