1970 280SL fuse puller
« on: June 29, 2015, 16:39:33 »
Can anyone tell me what the original fuse puller was made of? Brass or plastic etc. Also does anyone sell the original or a replica? I have searched E-bay on several occasions with no luck.

Thanks!

The one shown from Authentic Classic is the early style, with the two "balls" inside the handle. The later style (don't know the time frame of the change however) did away with those, and look like a conventional set of pliers, but they are made out of plastic.

This is so. See pic attached, an original plier. A good repro has been produced, I have both types.
Those repro's can be bought on auction websites, or car parts events, at least in Germany (TechnoClassica etc.) Not very expensive.
