A/C unit wrap or stock
« on: July 08, 2015, 20:10:04 »
I'm trying to figure out if I should wrap the lower portion of the interior A/C unit in leather to match the rest of the interior or leave it alone.

I would like your opinions on this matter.  The interior in question is of a Parchment shade.

I had a Bud's Benz unit installed and wrapped.  If I had an original unit I probably would have kept it as close to original as possible.

Maybe the picture will help.

Those mats are Coco Mats from California Car Cover.  I have since replaced them with a better quality Coco Mat from Natural Auto Products.  Check them out at www.cocomats.com

To only slightly hijack this thread. I have cocomats in all my cars. The quality is top notch and they wear like iron, AND they look great. They will even make custom mats to fit oddball spaces (aka the trunk if you so desire). Wonderful folks to deal with.

What are the color codes for your car? Looks very similar to the one I just purchased but the previous owner looks
To have re colored the seats (or attempted to anyway).

The exterior is 162 blue grey (which is the original color from the factory)

The interior when new was 119 MB Tex white grey 2102, but the previous owner had the seats redone with a GHH leather interior.  Besides the A/C unit, I have recovered the dash leather and wrapped the steering wheel with leather,  all purchased from a local (Houston) supplier to match the GHH seats and door panels.  If you look at the color codes in the tech section, what I have is pretty close to the original 119 white grey.

for the exterior color, can you read the color code on your registration plate or on the corner of your hood? (the code should be stamped there)
