Welcome to the Pagoda SL Group

My recommendation to you (and based upon some of your last posts, looks like you are looking for a Pagoda) would be to take a trip out to sunny California and have a close look at there cars looks like they have one 230, several 250 and 280 SL cars. Prices for the cars are fairly low this tells me some work is required. So a first hand look is going to pay you big dividends in the long run.

In the end purchase the best you can afford and take your time in restoring what needs attention. You I am sure agree in the end you will be the one making the final decision.

Good Luck and Good Hunting.

Hi
I have purchased couple of cars from them over the years, I defiantly advise going to see in person what your buying as I always have done from the UK. I will say you could probaly buy better if you look around. The cars they sell are good but description is always very limited but loads if pictures published. Never buy car blind what ever you do or on good sound advise over the phone. One thing I will say is ask them if it is oriiginal matching number engine and original color as most of time one or other is not. But overall they are nice people to deal with, As for prices you may get the odd $1000 off the asking price, But at end of the day they sell them very quick regardless and they know there is huge demand for the Pagoda.

Garry, some people just don't apprichiate the value of membership ... For less then ten (10) cent a day one has access to money saving tips and tons of technical data that has been contributed by knowledgeable full members. It is a pity that someone willing or planning to spend upward from $30K is not able to realize this.
