Oiling main shaft bushes in distributor

I want to oil The main shaft bushes in distributor. I can not get the knob to move. It has been a while, iI forget, do pull, push, turn cw, ccw?

It should turn either direction. It is easy to damage when using a lot of force.

It must be corroded shut. I will soak it with penetrating oil and try again.
