Looks terrific. Just the right amount of sheen and everything.
Whatever you do, DON'T change the firewall insulation if you don't have to. It would be a pity to make your car look more restored than it has to.
(By the way, you should've named this thread "Should I have my head examined" instead of the other one.) (pun intended)

The 'head' thing did cross my mind.
Fortunately Brian did a great job removing the original firewall material, it looks quite good and I am very happy to say it will be reused. Probably a light spray of some flat black will make it look as new.
