Soft-top well
« on: September 20, 2015, 15:33:27 »
I have finally got round to investigating the two scraggy bits of duct tape in my softtop well and in a fit of bravery pulled them off
To find three holes and two bolts, which go down into the trunk space. The bolts had no nuts. So it's all come out

Anyone any thoughts as to why someone might put three boltholes in the well? The dict tape clearly is to stop the bolts snagging the roof but...

(in the pic, the front of the car is on the right as you look)

Perhaps to mount an amplifier or some such underneath the top well?

Ah, Mr B, you might be right... It had an amp in a previous epoch
