So sad.  This winter's project is to go through the engine and the front and rear suspension.  Hopefully by spring I will have the shell back.  9 years this month.

Scary :o

My W111 hasn't run for eight months with a project that I am almost done with. I looked underneath the car and saw about the same thing. Really puts a zip in your stride to get it done when you see that. Duster anyone?

Funny you should say that.   When I decided to restore the body I was working full time aboard ship.  I simply bought my friend an airline ticket and he drove it 700 miles to his shop.  What began as a refurbishment turned into a full blown to the shell restoration.  I didn't take it apart and most of it isn't labeled.  I will probably learn to plate my own hardware because the though of digging through everything to find all the bits that need plating, sending them out and getting them back where they belong is too daunting.  As for the re-assembly it is going to be fun!

Shvegel,

Thank you for the encouragement. Your shell looks as good as new. Wish I was at that point with mine...

The front is easier than the rocker panels it looks like you already did. You are almost there.
