upholstery color codes
« on: October 28, 2015, 01:29:53 »
I have a beige 230 SL with cognac seats (MB code 2402). I want to replace the carpet with the correct carpet for the car according to the data card. The upholstery code from the card is "brown 6454". When I look at suppliers like GAHH, KHM, and World Upholstery, I find no corresponding code, only the different colors they offer. Is there a way to relate the original color code to the colors of sß :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\any of these suppliers?

I'm not sure about the suppliers you've mentioned. When I replaced the old "Cognac" carpets in my car I purchased the new "Cognac" ones from SLS, I used this less than ideal colour guide on their website, asked them to send me a sample. It was a perfect colour match and fit. I'm sure your suppliers can also send you a sample...

Robert,

That link of Mike is no good for you. :o
Use this one instead:

 ;D

However,
they do not have the correct color for you.
You need "brown", not beige or tan

this one here:

no. 414

That's what an original 230 SL looks like with cognac interior and "brown" carpet. ;)
Enjoy !!

Robert,
Your colour code is correct so I would call Vintage Euro Parts in Valencia, CA (talk to Babak the owner) or Authentic Classic Parts in NJ (talk to George in Sales) and ask them who they recommend for carpet.

Robert,
I also forgot to tell you to check into purchasing some Coco Mats.  They were MB factory options.
