Frigiking removal question?

How do I disconnect the A/C hoses at the rear of the Frigiking A/C unit? I am removing it to do some work and I have dropped it from the dash, but I don't know how to disconnect the hoses at their fittings. You can see the 2 sets of fittings in the picture.

Mind you I do not have A/C, however, from the picture you posted it looks like you need two open ended wrenches of the same size. One to hold the T-Type fitting while turning the other one. This is what it looks like to me from the photo you posted.

I'm up in Quebec so rules may be different here, but I think you are supposed to go to an AC shop and have them pump the refrigerant out of the system to recover it, not just dump it into the atmosphere.  It's probably illegal to just dump it.
Why not call an AC shop.

I have already done that. Now I just need to disconnect the hoses.

Hello Rolland,

Your hoses have right angle fittings on the end that hook to the expansion valve and the evaporator unit. The one hose must be unhooked from the expansion valve. The expansion valve has a "flat" where you can use a open end wrench another wrench will  be needed on the right angle fitting. You will then "double wrench" to get them apart. These parts might be std. SAE sizes. The second hose, is connected to the metal line going to the evaporator. You will need to "double wrench" it also. The tight circumstances and awkward angle make this job a challenge.

Hi Joe,

Thank you very much for your help. I was able to get one of the connections undone. The one on the left in the photo. The one on the right is proving to be a tough nut to crack. I have tried PB Blaster and Liquid Wrench and it is still stuck. Part of the problem is the tight working quarters and limited throw that give for the handle of my wrench and the awkward angle I hold the second wrench at the keep the back part from twisting.

I'll keep at it.
