Missing clutch parts
«
on:

Hi, i am getting the parts together to convert my 230 from auto to manual. The pedal box i have is missing the clutch master cylinder push rod. I assume that it is a simple non adjustable rod with a boss on the end for the pivot pin to pass through.
Can anyone tell me what the dimensions are for me make a new one? [Thankyou all for help with previous questions] Gordon

I'm pretty sure that there's an eccentric to adjust free play on that rod. I would try to find a used rod which shouldn't be too hard to do.

Yes, i have the pivot which is eccentric and appears to give approx 5mm of adjustment When the push rod is in place should it bear on the clutch piston, ie with no pedal travel before it displaces fluid?

I imagine you would want a small amount of free play at the push rod as it rests in the piston so that the piston canl return to the rest position when you release the clutch.

I'm with Dan (Benz DR). It's really annoying fighting a clutch or brake master cylinder that doesn't return all the way.

PN 110 29018 39. A bit pricey at $114 list.
