wiring internal lighting

Found my electrical drain, loose wire and short in the "dome" light.  In pulling it found it was totally corroded.  Bought new one from Ray Paul and find that instead of the oem screws it has posts to solder to.  Im ok with that but am stymied as to which wires go where.  Any suggestions aside from buying extra fuses?

Peter,

There are 3 wires attached to the entrance light and switch.

One is ground.

Another is power from fuse 1.  When the switch on the fixture is in the on position +12V is provided to the lamp via this fuse and the light should be on.

A third connection is a combined power connection from the left and right door contact switches.  When either door is open +12V will be provided to this lead and the lamp will be illuminated.
