11-Jan-1966

40 years ago the original document pack was still in the door pocket of my pagoda. Until one night when my sister left a stray dog in the garage and it chewed the pouch and all the books in it to shreds. All that was salvageable was the original production card.

One of those lost documents was the certificate of origin, dated 11-Jan-1966. The production date shown in the Group's Tech Manual shows my VIN number toward the middle of the Dec 65 production run but I always considered Jan 11th as the cars "Birthday"

Happy 50th Birthday to my pagoda.

Its a nice feeling when your car ticks over the 50 mark. When people ask you say it with pride, she’s older than 50.

Happy pagodaring

Congratulations! I have always "celebrated" my car's "Birthday" as well on September 18. Will have to wait until 2018 for the big five-oh.
