Identifying rear axle ratio
«
on:

Hi Guys,
I am planning to fit a 3.46 diff in my 250SL. How would I ID such a diff, is the ratio stamped on the case?
Which model used a 3.46?
Regards
Chris

The 3.46 was used on the W108 with the 3.5 motor. Such as 280SE 3.5. They are rare in the US because that model was never officially imported here.

I believe I would have one of those if that's case.
