Spark Plug - oil spot around plug

I noticed today a "wet spot" of oil around the No. 4 spark plug on our car..1971 280 SL. This would indicate it's blowing a bit of oil around the plug when running..it isn't very much but it is wet to the touch. Thoughts on what's causing this?

The oil could be caused by the ball stud base in the head just above the spark plug. You can use a small mirror to check it out.
