Length of regulating rod

Hi all,

I need to make  a new regulating rod, #45 in the illustration. Its For the late version that connects with the late style block pivot made of aluminum.
I was hoping maybe someone with the engine out could measure the rod for me,
or if someone knows the length. I believe they where the same from late 230's and later. Thanks.

Hi,

WRe, thanks for the documents. They did not provide the length of the regulating rod I am referring to,
but could be useful later. So even if I believe the length of this rod is not critical it would be nice to
make it as close to correct as possible, so still looking for someone to measure one of these.

That's not the regulating rod that has rubber bushing at the rear and is
Linked to the block pivout(alu) at the front. See #45 on the illustration in my first post.
I don't think I even have rod that looks like the one in your picture on my '71 280 SL.

Sorry Hans,
you are right, I was in a wrong film.
i tried to measure #45 rod but no chance to do it when it is build-in. You see only one end of the rod the others is underneath the exhaust manifold.
