The 250 SL has arrived at it's new home.  It's very happy and is glad to be together with its family.

Hi John,
Looks great !
Did you actually move, or just provide a new place for your cars?

It's a lower level garage in a home we built.  The cars have moved in, but we haven't....yet.

Fine cars deserve a great place :) well done ! A tiny sugestion, I would park the 190 SL in an angle and the Pagoda also in an angle next to the 190 like the others also in an angle for a great side way effect of all ... Just thinking out loud.

I'm planning a garage makeover project this winter and once done my Pagoda will be the only tenant parked sideways in my 2 1/2 oversized garage. I will post before and after pictures when done sometime next spring.

Dieter

PS. I always enjoyed your Flickr Photo Shoot.

For a hoist you want to have at least 10' (4,73 m) That's what I have and it works fine with my hoist.
Actually I have a rolling chair and a rolling tool box, perfect for a guy my age.

Thanks for the compliments, guys.  We're very happy with the space.  This is the "display garage."  Directly above the picture of the cars in the cove lit area is a "hobby garage" and the two Mercs are in the attached storage shed area above.  The ceiling is concrete planks which is the floor of the garages and rooftop garden (for my wife) above. That is where I will have a two post overhead lift (14' ceiling).  I wouldn't be without one, best tool ever.  There is also room for a second car there.  Across the courtyard from that garage is the two car "daily garage" for our daily drivers. The contractors like to say this is a garage(s) with a house attached.

The arrangement of the cars is temporary and the 190 SL has been moved to the side but the 250 left in place.  I have two more cars in there now, my kids cars from high school, they wanted me to keep them.  It will also be the area for now where we start bringing all our stuff from storage, we're in between homes.  I just had to get the cars out of where they were (car hell, a damp warehouse) and get them in here as soon as possible.

Is the new garage ... of course I mean home  ;) near the old house, or will you be moving somewhere far away?
Enjoy !!

It would seem that the dog has moved in.  Nice rug.
