« on: September 28, 2016, 02:00:37 »
Hi,
I am getting to the end of the work, but wonder what are these 2 parts left in my boxes??
Can any body tell me what are they used for, if they belong to the Pagoda....!

Thierry:  The first picture is of the positioning dowel used when mounting road wheels: it screws into your rotor; when two or more lugs are started, the tool can be removed and the rest of the lug nuts can be easily screwed in without trying to match the wheel holes to the rotor holes...it does it for you!  It is a useful part of your tool kit!  No idea what the other pictured item is.  I've enjoyed your posts, and good luck with your almost-finished Pagoda.  The best part is ahead: driving it!  Jon

The second part is a plastic bushing that is part of the spring assembly for the trunk lid.

The dowel I think as never been used, hahaha...

Thierry,

It's picture-part # 46 here:

They say "washer" but that is incorrect.     ???  That part 46 is the one you are looking for. Two of these form a pair. Both pairs of these plastic brackets hold together the torsions' springs.

Please have a look into the trunk of a proper non-disassembled car for these torsion springs and their plastic brackets. There you can see how it should look like.

These may help, these are the pictures I took of my trunk rods before I removed them.
