My '71 280 SL is in a no-start condition. It started briefly, died and now won't start at all. Initially I thought I smelled gas like it was flooding, now I don't get that smell but it won't start. When I started looking for possible fuel leaks I saw this wet spot on a hose going from the fuel pump but it's not the primary fuel feed line so it must be a return line. Would this cause a loss of pressure in the line that would cause a no-start condition?
