license plate bracket
« on: April 22, 2003, 19:46:01 »
Hi Group,

I am just now getting around to putting the license plate on my car for the first time. The problem is the holes in the body panel will not line up with my plate.. I think the holes are for a Euro plate.
Do they make a bracket to convert this to a us plate... or do I need to have one made?  My car is a North American version... It is just a very early production car...

Thanks for any input :)

rick,

i had a similar issue with my back plate. for me, the solution was the bracket from a US-spec ferrari 308, but the other day i noticed that porsche also makes a similar bracket.

i can't imagine these things are model-specific....

I have an adapter that installs into the Euro plate bumper holes to allow a US style plate to be attached...well made and looks nice...

Got it from Ray Paul who is listed on the Links Page...probably available from other suppliers. As Doug said, these are probably generic items and a US license plate adapter for any car with Euro plate holes can be used.
