Chris Evans

He of the last series of Top Gear has just  said on the radio he bought a car at auction
It's a 1989 and the next guaranteed classic one to buy etc . Currently pay from £6,000 upwards
Bought it
Drove it
No indicators
Decided to put hazards on: they worked BUT
Hazards don't go off when the engine is off
So he called the garage and they said the fuse (may be relay) is in the drivers kick panel (RHD car)

The car is a Merc but he's said nothing beyond that. So what was it?
W201 190E?
W124 (£6k wouldn't get you a 320 cab but...)
Is it too late for the W107 - he could have bought one of the last of those

The clue, is in the kick-panel!
