Quick a while back there was some discussion on the proper fiber boards to use to replace the old under dash fiber trim boards. Can some one tell me what this envolved and were they found the best material for this project.

Thank Very Much & Happy Holidays

Bob,

I got my panels from K&K.  They are well insulated and fit well except that the left panel was made for an automatic transmission car and didn't clear the clutch pedal, so I had to cut a corner out.  They come only in black.  I assume they could be painted with a vinly paint to be the proper color for the car, but I haven't tried this with mine yet.

My left panel simply has an area cut out for the pedals.  I saw a photo once that made me think the left panel originally had a hole for each pedal, with a slot for installation, but I don't really know.
