Need help doing a Vin reasearch

Where can I go to research a vin number for a '66 Benz?  My father passed on his '66 to me and I would like to do some research before I start restoring it.  Thx

Hi Kcabezas, I see this is your first post. Have a look around the "Tech Manual". It will answer a lot of questions. As far as vin research, see if you still have the Data Card with the cars paperwork. It will have a lot of useful information on it. If you don't have it, a copy can be ordered through the Mercedes Classic Center. Have a look here...
