What a shame, the owner must be heart broken
« on: April 01, 2017, 15:32:32 »
This nice 1967 230SL Pagoda was completely restored and the entire neighbourhood in Cologne (Köln)  Germany where the car was parked on the street was disturbed in the middle of the night by sirens from the fire engines that arrived unfortunately too late to save this fine car.

Speculations are that someone tried to steal the car and during the short wire attempt something went wrong. Or the thief set the car on fire as he was disturbed during his attempted car thief and to wipe out all evidence set the car on fire and disappeared (so it is reported in the German report).

The report also mentioned that this car in a complete restored condition was offered at 288,000- €
