Fuel sender wiring

1967 230sl
New sender unit did not take a pic of the wiring when removed. On the sender are 4 posts
1.four lines like an upside wifi symbol
2. Labeled G
3. Labeled W
4th not labeled

3 wires
1. Red
2.blue w black line
3. Blue with green line

Which one goes where?  How can I test? Thxs for your help.

Hi Dave, according to my 1965 230 SL, the fuel sender unit has three 'posts',  the fourth one being a guide for the cable connector. The cable colours as described by you are correct with the exception of your red cable which should be brown.  The brown cable indicates 'earth' and connects to your upside wifi symbol.  The blue/black cable connects to 'W' and the blue/green to 'G'.
