Last evening, the Pagoda group overwhelmed the local MB club section. This was the first of the season's "Third Thursday" cruise-ins in Encinitas CA (coastal community - Southern CA). We had 12 Pagodas!! And two other site members that attended in their other old cars (111 coupe, and a 116 - 6.9 liter!). We were at Charlie's Foreign Car, and had off-street parking, which is a huge plus, as the streets get a tad filled starting around 3:30 PM. Charlie also had a very nice array of refreshments for us all.

Many thanks to Charlie & Niko for hosting!

We even had three of the attendees from the LA area (including one of our favorite ex-pats - Oz).

Ray Bragg, drove from the east side of LA (Upland) and proudly displayed his car - Check out the mileage badge in the photo, he DOES drive his car.

Had a fabulous time !!  Great seeing some of the "regulars" and very nice meeting a couple of the new folks who will soon be regulars.

We felt very privileged to have this reserved section and what a treat that Niko had it catered for us.   Very nice. There were some VERY nice cars in our Mercedes section including Jonathan's Black 111 Coupe, a wonderful Tunis Beige Italian Pagoda, Noreens & Dick's Original 280 and the impeccably restored green one that I am eyeing Jonny's photo.

Was a good excuse to take the long way down the coast and put 240 miles on the 250sl.   Was able to make a stop and visit Tom Hanson on my way.    With only two weeks back in Los Angles, this was a highlight.

Thanks to Jonny B. for organizing.
