Mercedes Dealer Stoke on Trent UK 1968

Hi, I am trying to trace the history of my pagoda. It was supplied new in Stoke-on-Trent UK in May 1968, it has an 'EH' UK registration.

My question is who were the franchised Mercedes dealers for Stoke-on-Trent Staffs, UK for 1968.   For example in Cambridge at this time it was Maloney & Rhodes, and in Bristol Cruickshanks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Drayton's? Or do you think Drayton bought what preceeded it as the dealer?

Many thanks James, I will try to research that, I have owned my 280SL pagoda since 1985 and have her full history from 1972, this is on a replacement green/buff log book as the original 1968 - 72 green/buff book was lost.

Having just treated the 'old girl' a full bare metal respray I thought I might try to trace the 'missing' 4 years history.

Unfortunately Drayton are not listed in the 1968 Stoke-on-Trent phone directory. Don't think yellow pages existed in 1968, so back to the drawing board.
