Pretty girl, Pretty day, Pretty car..what better thing to do but go for a ride. We were only out for a couple of hours yesterday and decided to drive up to our little town of Placerville. As we turned onto Main street we found it to be lined with people awaiting the annual wagon train (which we had totally forgot about) that retraces the route the pioneers took over the Sierras to the gold mining towns back in 1849. As we drove down the street we were greeted with lots of “Beautiful car” shouts, fist pumps and hand clapping. If cars could blush, I am pretty sure ours would. The driver and navigator sure did. The wagon train of a dozen or so Conastoga Wagons being pulled by horses, various other wagons and many horseback riders followed soon after. Quite a day! The 1st picture taken close to home and the 2nd picture is from our local paper which gives some idea of what proceeded down the street after us.
