Soft top storage issue
«
on:
June 06, 2017, 12:40:38 »
Just wondered if anyone experienced similar. My soft-top has been going up & down into the rear storage void with no issues but now seems to be reluctant to go all the way down to get the metal "C" fully down and secure. Have checked for obvious obstructions and nothing there... any ideas/clues ?
thanks in advance

Hi duka
Have a read of the technical manual on this site, and also use the search facility on the forum main page for soft top issues, there are many many posts on various issues, that you may find helpful.
You can also check that the rear bow is completely forward to the roof when folding it down.
hope this is helpful

Duka,
Also make sure the front locks are in the closed position, the handles must face inwards, towards each other. If you have a 280SL with removable handles, the locks must be closed before removing the handles.
