831.221 Cross reference please

this is the number stamped on head gasket (280sl head marked 280SEL) used on replacement block supposingly 1972...distributors are saying they do not know what it is ...I need this number cross referenced ...I also need exhaust guides and valve seals if anyone has those numbers also.  thanx

831.221 is the Elring part no. for the later 130 engine head gasket. They are OE gasket suppliers. MB equivalent is 130 016 5620.

You will have to see if you need standard or oversize valve guides.

The cylinder head and gasket are different from earlier 130 engines but the same valve guides and stem seals seem to be used. Hopefully, somebody here can confirm this.  :?:
