I was going over my vehicle registration papers, and found some really stupid mistakes in it! Note this of my SL280!
Body type: Saloon (meant to be convertible or coupe)
Fuel type: Diesel (meant to be petrol)
Seating: 4 (meant to be 3 or 2)
Weight: 2437kg
Colour: Gold(meantto be Sand Beige)

it's not unusual for the licensing department in Floriana (malta) to make such mistakes.... I have the exact same description of my car type saloon and colour maroon instead of rust. check your engine and chasis no as they tend to leave a couple of numbers out towards the end of whole nos. you can check the engine no on the engine block on the side and there is a metal plack on the right hand side near the wipers motor.

Unfortunately it's not only Floriana doing such things...
A friend of mine, before knowing me and knowing about the possibility of getting an exact copy of the data card from MB, asked directly to MB Italy to have details about his 230SL in order to file for the "classic car status".
Well, he received a very nice and official paper saying that his car was, among other things, built in 1959!!! (A VERY early Pagoda
