Stopped in to see Hans at H and R Fuel Injection
« on: September 09, 2017, 02:40:34 »
I am working on Long Island and I happened to drop our Captain off at MacArthur Airport today.  As I was driving out of the Airport I realized that I was close to H and R and I needed a couple of gaskets for my injection pump so I stopped in.  Hans seems to be in good spirits but he has slowed quite a bit since I saw him last.  Apparently his left arm is no longer of much use so the work is mostly being done by his staff of one (Not sure if he was an employee or partner and I didn't get his name).  Hans was kind enough to show me around the shop and give me a couple of pointers for my pump rebuild.  He also showed me his personal stock of rebuilt pumps that are on the shelf waiting to go.  He has rebuilt pumps for our cars as well as Porsche 911's,  Bmw 2002 Tii's, a BMW 2002 Turbo and not one but two 300SL gullwing pumps in stock .
