Hi

I am keen to find out how many w113 280sl's came as a RHD in a California coupe spec with the 5 speed ZF?

You help on this is very appreciated.. I have gone mad searching the internet with no success.

He he, it may well be that you have the only one! At least, they are certainly rare.

I had a LHD ZF 5sp Calif coupé previously; at that time I only knew of a couple more in the world. Out of the Pagoda production after 1966/67 there were perhaps 1,5% with ZF and perhaps 3% California coupé type. Thus, a combo of the two is of course super-rare. RHD- even more so (=ultra rare).

That is a nice thought but i don't think i could be that lucky!

Sorry for my ignorance but are you suggesting that of the 1.5% with ZF's 3% of those would be Calif Coupes? thats like 20-30 cars according to this site if you take those values. Interesting.

"this is a rare option - some 800 odd cars from 1965 to 1971 were equipped, The 5 speed, a ZF transmission type ZFS-5-20" from Technical Manual.

Is there a way to find out exactly how many were made, contact at Mercedes or a person in the know?
