Blaupunkt Radio not staying on
« on: September 08, 2017, 03:02:51 »
My Blaupunkt radio has been working fine up until today. I push in the left knob to power it up. The radio will not stay on unless I hold in the knob. Any ideas what might be wrong and how to fix it? If necessary who can I send it to for repair?

Just had my Becker Europa worked on by Becker Autosound, New Jersey.  They are the recommended and I believe only vendor that works specifically on Becker Radio.  They got mine back working, cleaned it thoroughly, and replaced the cracked pin striped faceplate...all for $315.00.  Did a great job, got right on it, and communicated professionally.  I recommend them highly after my experience.

I believe this shop does repair Blaupunkt radios: http://stores.ebay.com/classic-B-B-radios?_trksid=p2047675.l2563
Contact them through eBay.
The usual applies, I don't know the vendor and have never used the service.

Well, I lucked out today. I decided to remove the knob and found that the radio powered on/off just fine. The problem was that the ring assembly just in behind had loosened which prevented the knob from being pushed in all the way. I tightened it up and reset the knob with the set screws and it works perfectly.
