No more fuel? Fuel gauge question.
« on: December 24, 2004, 09:39:01 »
My car was working last Sunday but on Wednesday, it wouldn't start. Thought it might be the cold weather but nope. Maybe the battery but the lights still come on okay. Have not re-fueled it since I bought it.

Now the question: Does the fuel gauge work before starting the car or does it only work after the car is started like cars these days?

Thanks in advance.

My gas guage works as soon as the key is turned on, regardless of whether the engine is running or not.

Eryck,
Make sure that you hear the electric fuel pump running when you turn the ignition on!
Could be just a corroded fuel pump fuse!
