Several members of this group have let me know of their interest in the documentation Brian Peters of Motoring Investments is keeping of our ongoing restoration project.

For those who are interested, Brian has added a fourth page to the blog. This link takes you directly to Page 4. http://www.motoringinvestments.com/RestoLog4.htm

And this link will start you on Page 1 and let you work your way through all four pages if you prefer. http://www.motoringinvestments.com/RestoLog.htm

(several of the photos will enlarge if you click them)

Enjoy.

Just finished reading Part IV of the restoration.  I think this car will be breath taking!  I for one am happy with the decision to eliminate the side marker lights.  This will make the car much cleaner looking and keep the original design as it was meant to be.

Congrats Ed!

Can anyone tell me where he got the info on what should be plated?  Specifically the cad plated stuff?  Thanks.

Ed, since you are obviously going all out with this car I hope you'll be duplicating the inspection dots.  I feel this will really give it that extra bit of detail as these cars once had.

Hauser,

Can you explain more about the inspection dots?

Just curious where these are, what they look like, etc.

Thanks!

I remember reading somewhere these dots were automaticaly applied by the torque wrench used at the factory so when visually inspected you could tell that the parts had been torqued to spec.
