Have a look thru here in the Tech Manual

https://www.sl113.org/wiki/DataCard/PaintCodes

I suspect it is Dark Olive if it is not metallic.

There is a paint code plate fixed on the left hand side panel in the engine bay near the shock strut top that will have the codes on it.

Jim, welcome to the group.  Is this a new purchase for you?  Tell us about it.  There is a thread on the home page (orange home button on left above) under General Discussion for introduction of new members.  Please tell us a little about yourself and your car.

Here is the picture of the paint code plate as mentioned by Garry that you are looking for.  The characters on the second line (291 H in the picture) include the original factory paint codes for your car.  One code is for the car the other for the hard top.  Depending on the numbers on your plate, you can go to the technical manual (third button from the left above) and confirm your original paint color.  If your car has been repainted, the technical manual will not help unless the repaint was in the original color.

Mine as indicated on the plate is dark olive.  See picture below.

Again welcome to the group.

Hi,

I’m guessing the color is 268 dark green. Dark olive 291 usually appears a much darker color.

Thank you all for the assistance to a new guy. I found the paint code where suggested and it's 268 H or dark green. I'll post a little about the car in the intro section, but it's the first MB I've had out of about 40+ cars so far. Some in my fun stable include old Porsches, Vettes, a KG and Ferrari. This Pagoda has been a dream car of mine and I finally acquired one. You guys know the color. It's all original with just short of 34K miles on the clock. The floor mats are still in the plastic wrap. The only issues so far are the brake lights and turn signals (bulb issues I believe), missing the ashtray lid, and the tires are in great shape, but way too old for safe travel. I'm sure there will be other matters to sort out since it has not be driven much. Changing the fluids is first priority along with the tires. Any others suggestions or links is appreciated. Hopefully along the way, I'll be able to share on this forum as you all have done with me.

I smile every time I see her and marvel at the ride for an almost 50-year old car,

All the best,
Jim

Congratulations! It was a good decision to buy her!

At your convenience - post a picture of the floor mats in foil - this intrigued me big time!

Here's a photo. Not sure it's original, but it directs dealer to remove the plastic covering.
