Brass / chrome plated outer molding

To all,
I was in the process of polishing my outer, upper molding rails, ( 4 pieces per side, brass / chrome plated) when I recognized that the two shorter ones are missing their “end caps”, as shown in the pictures. I went thru some published pictures but could not zoom in far enough to actually see clearly.
I assume but would like to confirm that all of these molding rails should be close or capped on both sides?
Has anybody have problems with these caps?
Are these caps or end pieces available anywhere or does someone have old molding pieces (to harvest the caps) for sale?

Yes, both ends are capped on all pieces.  Looks like someone cut longer pieces to make shorter ones they probably had missing.  New ones are available but they are costly.

Yup, didn't think about it but you are probably right about someone chopping them out of longer ones. I guess I start shopping for new ones.
