I believe they were cad plated, and were done on my engine rebuild by the restoration workshop.

If those are coolant pipes (to expansion tank or return from heat exchanger) then they should be black. I don't think they are visible in Garry's photos since they mount on the inner fender.

Thanks, Guys. I couldn't remember why the ones I asked about got painted black and thought maybe some sort of mix up but I guess I got it right. Packaging up all the yellow bits now.

Thanks for the engine pics, pretty engine. I wonder if mine will ever look like that...  :)

I too believe they are black but seeing as plating is relativly inexpensive you might want to consider having them plated for corrosion protection on the inside then respraying them black.

I think your right of course, they are the coolant pipes in black. I was thinking they were the cad pipes on the lower part of the engine.
