Data Card questions
« on: June 22, 2018, 18:51:46 »
I have been working on my data card info and I could use some help.  My data card is the version 2 in the technical manual and I would like to know more about the Auftrags-Nr box (or box e from the technical manual).  My number is 77193888.  The box marked J on the manual or Ueberahmetag has a date of 12 Sept 1967 stamped.  I understood that this car was a European delivery or an American ordered car.  Can anyone help me understand if these numbers tell that same story?  Thanks

I like this kind of puzzles...

Why would you conclude it is Europe or America? The code is 719 - this is St Pierre Et Miquelon, close, but not America, it is a French territory, actually. I think you have quite an exotic car by place of ordering...

The last 4 digits of the Auftrags-Nr may hold some of the answers.  I can’t quite figure them out.  Both the body and paint number plate on the car and the data card indicate that this is a U.S. Version car (419).  The Ueberahmetag has a date stamped of 12 Sept 1967 and as the Tech Manual states that was only done in a “few markets ie Germany”.

Auftrag nr is just order number. Last for digits is just sequence. Not sure what you mean by 419, but it is quite likely that in Mercedes nomenclature/classification US cluster is same as the St Pierre islands cluster (or South America), which number is 7.

Ubernahmetag - delivery date, yes, the Technical Manual says what is says, but the example of the version 2 data card is the US data card and it has this date.

Your order number is 77193888, so the 2, 3 and 4th digits that are showing the market are 719 and this is St Pierre. On your paint code plate you probably have 7 (market cluster).

This is what I would think. Not too many Pagodas ordered in St Pierre Et Miqquelon islands...

We went through this destination several years ago as I remember dong some research on the subject. Do a site search for  St Pierre Et Miquelon  and bring yourself up to speed.
