Heater operation

I recently completed a restoration of my European model '69 280SL. I'm not familiar with the position of heating levers and blower knob. It's summertime and it seems there is a constant rush of hot air at my feet. Maybe just the hot weather but I would appreciate any suggestions to have no air being blown either at my feet or on the windshield.

My advise would be to check all the openings in the firewall and grommets - all the wires, cables, pedals - there are plenty of them there, particularly on the driver's side.

Did you read the instructions in your owner's manual?

You might also pop the engine firewall grommet off so you can see if the heater water valve is opening and closing when you move the lever.
