Provence trip (27-30 Sept) - travel arrangements

Hallo Garry, Brian, Paul, Larry and Jonny

In order not to highjack James (JamesL) thread any further for those members from the Netherlands and Belgium planning to arrange hotels and convoys to the Euro Event I have moved my Post #16 above to a new thread. Ive done this since both routes are distinctly different and to avoid confusion.

Things in my household are becoming clearer so...

It looks like I will be leaving home Wednesday

Think I will go from Calais to the Novotel at Macon Nord. I've used the hotel before and it has secure/gated parking, a decent bar, pool and a gas station opposite. It's 6 hours from Calais on the autoroute
And it's just under 6 hours on the Thursday from Macon down to the event using the RN from Grenoble

I'll be doing the opposite on the Sunday

I will also be doing this on my own as management will fly to and from Nice (Fri/Sun). Someone in our house has to earn a crust...

Garry and I will arrive in Nice on the 26th within hours of one another (Garry from Australia and I from Canada) we then will pick up Andrew’s car near Nice.
