She has been brought up by her Father, the Mother having left them when she was 5.
She has a curvature of the spine in the opposite direction to most deformations which has compacted the arteries that supply blood to her vital organs. She was suffering extreme pain and eventually constant vomiting which Doctors insisted was due to stress due to her parents break-up.
As she grew her problems were compounded such that should could no longer hold down food, would often pass out and had to have a feeding tube inserted at the age of 15.
Her Father gave up work to care for her.
Eventually, her condition was diagnosed but the operation required to address the compacted arteries was not available in the UK; only privately in Germany at a cost of £35000. Her Grandfather re-mortgaged his house to pay for it and she has started a crowd-funding page to try to pay him back.
The operation required her to be cut open from neck to hip and around the chest to her back.
The operation was a success and she had the feeding tube removed last year but then she contracted a virus from one of the few things that made her happy. A horse. That virus has now caused her to start vomiting again and medication can only supress it somewhat, not eradicate it.
Through all of this she has insisted on continuing her Law studies and continuing to model, deliberately not hiding her scars so as to raise awareness.
I don't want to publish her crowd funding page here as I doubt it would be considered appropriate but if anyone wants to donate send me a PM and I'll give you the link.
If admins think it is indeed appropriate I'll post it here.
