lateral support rod
« on: October 15, 2018, 02:31:50 »
I have replace all rubber and seals one the rear end and I am having trouble with alignment.  I have no trouble with the measurements, it's turning the lateral support rod to make the adjustments.

The lateral support rod on later model cars is mounted in a box structure that seems to prevent access to the cast nut on the rod.  The cast nut on the rod is inside the body structure with a rubber boot in the way.  Is there a special tool to fit up in the box or do I lock two nuts together on the far end and adjust from there?  I feel like I'm missing something obvious.  Found nothing in the manual or searches.

Thanks for your comments.
