Possibly missing chrome part

Can anyone tell what the purpose of this part is?
And do I need two, one at LH and RH side?
I didn't buy my Pagode in one piece, so for me it's a large puzzle.

So I have to find out which side I have and try to find the other side.

It actually looks like you have both pieces for a left and right door as the two pieces that make up the left and right door are specific to left or right. The bottom piece is interchangeable.
