tarnished spot or rust on cam lobe

hello
i had the valve cover off today, and noticed this spot on one cam lobe
note sure if i need to worry about this.
i have not driven the car in a while.
any input would be appreciated.

Have you tried to rub it off with a non-abrasive polisher like Nev'R Dull?

Never store your classic for months- years with old oil in the car,
Change oil before storage, drive until car reaches normal temperatures ,
then store.
